Pavé band Dutch marquise engagement rings run a line of small diamonds along the band beneath a Dutch marquise, the elongated hexagonal cut with straight sides, pointed ends and brilliant faceting. The straight sides of the stone and the straight line of pavé below it give the ring a geometric, modern outline that a classic marquise cannot quite match.
Three pavé designs for a Dutch marquise
From our pavé band collection, three designs are cut for the Dutch marquise: the Bubble Band Hidden Halo ($1,200), a domed band with a ring of small diamonds under the stone; the Pavé Cathedral Hidden Halo ($1,250), pavé along arched shoulders with the hidden halo beneath; and the Pavé Band ($1,450), small diamonds set halfway around a slim band under a four-prong head that caps both points. Each is made in 14k and 18k yellow, white, rose and two-tone gold and platinum; prices are the 14k setting before the diamond.
Wearing pavé with a Dutch marquise
A pavé band can be resized only a little before the side stones get in the way, so size carefully, and plan on a cleaning every few months to keep the small stones bright. Our pavé band guide covers durability, resizing and cleaning, our Dutch marquise guide explains the shape and its ratios, and the full Dutch marquise collection shows the same stone in every setting we make.
Every ring is made to order around a lab-grown Dutch marquise diamond you choose, graded by IGI or GIA, and ships free in the US with 30-day returns, one complimentary resize within 100 days and a lifetime manufacturing warranty.
