Stacked diamond eternity bands, worn

Bezel Wedding Bands

Bezel wedding bands frame each lab-grown diamond in its own smooth rim of gold, so the band has a low, clean outline that won't catch on clothing or hair. Choose oval, emerald-cut or marquise stones, set upright or east-west, as a full eternity or half eternity band from 0.50 to 3.5 carats, made to order in 14k yellow or white gold. They are the natural partner to our bezel engagement rings.

About the collection

What Is a Bezel Set Wedding Band?

In a bezel set band, each diamond sits inside a thin collar of metal that is pressed around its edge and polished flush, instead of being held by prongs. Nothing stands up from the surface, so the band slides under a sleeve or a glove without snagging. The edge of each stone is protected where a diamond is most likely to chip, and the ring cleans with a soft brush. The rims add a little metal between the stones, which gives a bezel band its rhythm of diamond, gold, diamond.

Bezel Wedding Band Styles

Oval bezel eternity bands come in 1, 2 and 3 carat total weights, with oval bezel half eternity bands at 0.50 and 2 carats. Emerald-cut bezel eternity bands come in 2 and 3 carats, and emerald-cut bezel half eternity bands in 1 and 1.5 carats. The east-west styles turn each stone sideways along the finger: an east-west oval bezel band as a full eternity (1.8 carats) or half eternity (2 carats), an east-west marquise bezel eternity band (0.75 carats) and an east-west emerald-cut bezel eternity band (3.5 carats). Every style is made in 14k yellow or white gold.

Pairing a Bezel Band with Your Engagement Ring

A bezel band is the obvious match for a bezel engagement ring, where the rims repeat the look of the center setting. It pairs just as well with prong-set solitaires and hidden halos, where the smooth band keeps the stack from looking busy. Because the rims sit low, bezel bands stack flush beside every Clairamor design except the floral accent, bypass, low profile and rounded tapered band rings, which take a curved wedding band. Our guide to full, half and faux bezels compares the rim styles.

Made to Order in 14k Gold

Every bezel wedding band is made to order in 14k yellow or white gold, sizes 3 to 9 in quarter sizes, and ships in about three weeks with free US shipping, 30-day returns and a lifetime manufacturing warranty. Prices run from $1,295 for the 0.50 carat oval bezel half eternity band to $2,395 for the 3 carat oval bezel and 3.5 carat east-west emerald-cut bezel eternity bands.

Questions, answered

What is a bezel wedding band?

A bezel wedding band is a diamond band in which each stone is held by a rim of metal pressed around its edge rather than by prongs. The result is a smooth, low band with a crisp outline, more metal protecting each diamond and nothing to catch on fabric or hair.

Are bezel set bands more durable than prong set bands?

Yes. A prong can bend or wear thin and let a stone loosen; a bezel holds the diamond along its whole edge, so there is nothing to catch and far less to maintain. That makes a bezel band a good choice for anyone who works with their hands or takes their ring on and off all day.

Does a bezel setting make the diamonds look smaller?

Slightly. The rim covers the outer edge of each stone, so a bezel set diamond looks a touch smaller than the same stone in prongs, and a little less light enters from the side. In a band the trade is usually worth it: the rims give the row of diamonds a deliberate outline, and in white gold the rim blurs into the stone so the difference is hard to see.

What wedding band goes with a bezel engagement ring?

A bezel band is the closest match, since the rims repeat the look of the center setting, but a plain band or a pavé half eternity band also works. Most Clairamor bezel engagement rings sit flush with a straight band; only the low profile bezel and the bypass half bezel need a curved band.

Can I stack a bezel band with a plain band?

Yes. A plain 14k gold band on one side of the engagement ring and a bezel band on the other gives the stack a rhythm of metal and diamond without crowding the center stone.

How much do bezel wedding bands cost?

From $1,295 for the 0.50 carat oval bezel half eternity band to $2,395 for the 3 carat oval bezel eternity band and the 3.5 carat east-west emerald-cut bezel eternity band. The 1 carat oval bezel eternity band is $1,595, in 14k yellow or white gold.
